Nachos are a Food Group

Whether you like plain and simple, or fully loaded, nachos can be a serious food group. If it weren't for nachos, I would never eat vegetables.

Baked or broiled? I bake mine. The cheese is gooey and everything is heated through evenly. There are a lot of veggies that taste great on nachos. My favourite would have to be tomatoes and green peppers. I also like to add seasoned ground beef, jalapenos, and olives on occasion. In exchange for ground beef you can also do a mixture of corn and black beans for protein.

Pro tip: Do not make more than 3 layers, and put the tomatoes on the top 2 layers to avoid soggy chips.

Breakfast nachos? Yes! I personally came up with this idea, however I have not tried it yet... so if you try this let me know how it turned out. My idea was nacho chips, of course, with layers of scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon, cheese (duh) hash browns, and then obviously sour cream and salsa. Doesn't that sound delicious?

Basically, you could have nachos for every meal.
